MinoAI is committed to safeguarding student privacy in compliance with FERPA, GDPR, CCPA, and international education privacy standards. LITH collects learning data to personalize curriculum and improve educational outcomes.

STUDENT DATA PROTECTION

Learning records are treated as sensitive educational data. Your assessment results, quiz responses, and progress are encrypted and used ONLY for personalization and learning improvement. No educational data is sold or shared with advertisers.

1. Learning Data Collection

Assessment Data: Baseline knowledge assessments, quiz attempts, exercise responses, homework submissions, and exam scores.

Progress Tracking: Time-on-task, lesson completion, concept mastery levels, and adaptive difficulty adjustments.

Learning Analytics: Patterns, retention rates, learning velocity, and performance trends across proficiency levels.

2. Data Usage

  • Personalize curriculum generation and difficulty progression
  • Track learning outcomes and skill mastery
  • Generate detailed progress reports for your review
  • Improve LITH's curriculum algorithms (aggregated, anonymized data only)
  • Detect and address learning difficulties

3. Encryption & Security

All learning data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS). Assessment records are stored separately from personal identification data for enhanced privacy. We conduct regular security audits and penetration testing.

4. Student Rights (FERPA Compliance)

You have the right to inspect your educational records. Request access, correction of errors, or deletion of learning data through your account settings. We will respond to data requests within 45 days.

5. Data Retention

Learning records are retained while your account is active to support your educational progress. Upon account deletion, all assessment records and learning data are removed within 30 days. You may export your full learning history at any time.

6. Minor Students

Students under 18 must have parental/guardian consent. Parents can request access to their child's learning records, restrict data processing, or request deletion. We provide family reports for account holders supervising minors.

7. No Third-Party Sale of Data

We do NOT sell learning data to educational companies, assessment platforms, or advertisers. Learning records are confidential and shared only as required by law or with explicit consent.
